Bloomington Veterinary hospital- Bloomington, IN
The Kennel Attendant position is a key role for our hospital that provides daily cleaning for our hospital and providing care for the well being of any patients. The position involves cleaning of the following: floors, sinks, kennels, laundry, bathroom, garbage, cages, etc.. The role is a daily after hours position.
Job Responsibilities:
- Nightly care for boarded animals
- exercising, feeding, administering medication, and monitoring behavior
- Assist with kennel maintenance and cleaning
- cleaning up of animal excrete
- Reporting changes in animal behavior, health or concerns to Vet or Hospital Manager
- Other duties as assigned by Doctor/Hospital Manager
- Washing, drying, and folding laundry
- Must be able to lift 50lbs or more, stoop, bend and stand on feet for long periods.
- High School Diploma or relevant education and work experience
- Previous experience with animals preferred
- Customer service attitude
- Organizational skills
- Team oriented, enjoys working as part of team
- Solid communication skills
